These instruments are specially designed for the accomplished Blues Artist. Inspired by the legendary playing style of Duane Allman, this hand-made instrument features a graphite nut, with a bit of added height, to allow fingered notes, chording, and slide-playing, on the same instrument, without readjustment. Neck is hard rock maple with birdseye peghead face, 11 ½ degree tilt-back headstock angle, and "Florida Bluesmaster" insignia on the peghead face. Standard features include Swamp Ash, Maple, or standard mahogany bodies, hard rock maple or mahogany necks, rosewood or ebony fingerboards, medium jumbo frets, and the finest hardware. The finest in the line, available individually, these hand-made instruments are fashioned from exotic, thousand-year-old South American and African Hardwoods and feature the finest craftsmanship, excellent hardware choices, and pick-up configuration options. Each of these top-of-the-line instruments is individually designed and executed to satisfy the most specific needs and desire of the customer. Available designs include choice of neck joints (in most cases) of "Bolt-On", "Set-Neck", or "Neck-Through", depending on overall design applicability. Options, throughout most of our instrument line, are virtually unlimited and, while they are at extra cost, each case will be quoted separately and every effort will be made to provide the very best selections at reasonable cost. Options may be limited for models bearing the designations, "Texas Special" and "Florida Bluesmaster" and some choices may not be available on all models. Specific options and prices are discussed at the design meetings, prior to start of construction.
"CUSTOM SIGNATURE SERIES" GUITARS – An option available on both "Artist" series and "Legend" series instruments.
NOTE: Custom, "one-off" and "odd" body shapes are available, at extra cost, and are priced on a case by case basis. Finishes available include solid, opaque colors, metallic colors, pearls, and up to three color over-tints. On exotic wood models, clear, natural finishes are standard. Translucent and transparent finishes, that include color blending, are $180.00 per instrument, extra. Metallic, three color sunbursts, pearls, or "Flip-Flop" finishes are $200 extra cost. Metalflake, or sparkle - $250.00 extra, each instrument.
In addition to producing the finest in hand-made instruments, this facility also does specialty work on virtually any guitar or bass that a customer wishes to have serviced. At North American Instruments, the custom shop has a special repair/modification division in which instruments are modified, repaired, or restored. Fine finish work and restorative gold plating are among the services offered.
All new guitar sales are by written contract, clearly stating the specifications and details chosen by Artist/Customer and a copy is provided to the customer as a written agreement to produce the instrument requested at the price quoted, avoiding any misunderstandings. The Artist/Customer is interviewed by the luthier to determine specifications, details, and choices.
A 50% deposit is required prior to beginning work on any instrument. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. All balances are due prior to delivery of instruments. Unless otherwise specified in writing, all funds are cash or cashier's checks. Customer is responsible for all packing and shipping charges and may choose from UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, or FEDEX Overnight Service. Customer pick-up is highly desirable and every effort will be made to accommodate a customer's schedule to allow for personal delivery of instruments.
